Times have evolved and Technology has greatly advanced with the speed of light. Sometime ago People began wondering about the future of computers with questions arising from what new design or feature will be brought again to laptops after all the recent innovations and sophisticated features have been added or modified on computers especially laptops and Tablet PCs by their different manufacturers?, from lightweight to thin bezel screens, High-end graphics cards, Long battery life, Aesthetics, Aluminium coatings or chassis, face recognition and fingerprints, etc. There was and still is stiff competition among manufacturers as each tries to produce a lightweight yet powerful system that can meet both business productivity and gaming needs.
However, Just when people thought the design technologies surrounding these modern computers especially laptops were at their peak and almost totally exploited, Asus took another dimension with the introduction of Dual-screen laptops which were first seen in the zenbook Duo and pro-Duo. Before these, people usually used extra monitors which were either connected via an HDMI port using an HDMI cable or via a VGA port using a VGA cable to the laptop for extra display. though this posed a big problem with portability. As for Asus, they claim extra screens means extra cooling.
If there's one thing I like about Asus is the little extra they always add to all their devices: Their Engineers really do think out of the box. Now when the Zephyrus line of laptops came into play, they provided extra cooling through a mechanism(Active Aero-dynamics) whereby the back underneath part of the laptop lifts up upon opening of the laptop allowing for more cool air into the system. its important we note that one of the factors that kill laptops is heat which can result from lack of ventilation especially if the system is under a heavy-duty process like gaming or video editing. However, Asus has decided to combine the aspect of extra cooling and extra screen in one laptop with the same lift mechanism(Active Aero-dynamics) as the Zephyrus GX 501 and GS 701 BUT this time in the front and its wonderful. they call this The Asus Rog Zephyrus Duo GX550 and its available in two models as illustrated in the fig below. The only difference between these two is the processor. The said device features a ROG ScreenPad Plus secondary display that takes the Windows 10 experience to new heights. Innovative cooling with liquid metal and a groundbreaking thermal design unleashes peak power from the latest 10th Gen Intel® Core™ i9 CPU and NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX 2080 SUPER™ GPU. Choose between an ultrafast 300Hz/3ms for competitive play or a high-res 4K display for pro-level content creation. Supremely portable with a high-capacity 90Wh battery, you can create, play, and stay productive anywhere.
